r/FuckCars is right. This car centric bullshit society needs to grow the fuck up.

Fuck plebbit and their censorship. No I dont plebbit as they would ban my happy ass for disagreeing with libturds the same day I signed up. But that doesnt mean they're wrong all the time.

42,000 deaths per year in these United States. Cars are becoming unaffordable to more people every year. My good friend Suzie Orman (who I've never met) along with many other economists say that cars are keeping the lowest 20% of earners poor and delaying their life goals in terms of vacations, retirement and even being able to afford healthy food.

Over 100,000 people suffer serious and life changing injury due to car accidents. The combination of cars that get heavier and more torque and more horsepower plus humans plus speed plus that sudden stop is what is killing too many people.

Where are the driver nannies? The automatic braking? The auto-distance maintaining throttle response on the highway? FSD cannot come soon enough for the worlds most dangerous form of transportation. The 4 wheeled light armored vehicle.

Europe is covered in light rail routes and even though I despise communism, so is China.

This shit isnt working. One more lane wont fix traffic congestion. What we need are more PEVs, personal electric vehicles and more light rail.

In b4 personal attacks. This isnt about me its about us.

What say you?

Fuck yeah. I agree with some of what Hitler did. Like burning child pornography books that das juden were trying to use to subvert the German culture and thus weaken them as a society to be more easily controllable.

Cars exist because niggers are used as a kike terrorist weapon. Living in a city with niggers on public transit? You saw EXACTLY what happens - women get stabbed.

That means if you DON'T want to get stabbed and shot by a nigger - who you can't do shit about because they are a kike protected group - you have to flee to the suburbs to deal. To a gated community, to a HOA controlled hellscape. Sure it sucks, but it's SAFE. The further from the city with niggers the better.

Commies with monocultures like China and Japan can get away with it - they don't have niggers. And Japan is going to find out REAL fast just how bad niggers are thanks to kikes importing them to enrich their nation with death and stabbings.

And self-driving cars fizzled out thanks to fuck nuggets in congress not being able to improve infrastructure & laws for them. I mean for fucks sake - liberals can't even put in the charging stations for their precious EVs. NYC has like 3, it's literal incompetence on mass display. You think they could handle complex law on self-driving cars? FUCK NO THEY CAN'T.

You want to remove cars? You need Total Kike Death and Total Nigger Death first. Only with the antagonist forces gone can you focus on fixing infrastructure and getting shit automated.

Interesting take. And you're not wrong. But hear me out on this. EVs sold just over 600,000 units last year. Thats full size battery powered cars, not hybrids.

Personal electric vehicles (PEVs) sold over 900,000 units. Ebikes, electric scooters, one wheels. Not to be confused with electric unicycles those are slightly different. Even electric skateboards and would you believe just a few electric rollerskates?

Yeah that last one is the fringe of the fringe. But at the same time I keep hearing folks complaining that Craigslist doesnt have enough good quality bikes because commuters keep buying the good ones to convert to Ebikes. And ebike conversions are not included in that 900,000 figure. Those are just the charge and ride ones that sometimes barely need some assembly.

Not sure what you're referring to. But again most cars are light armored vehicles because they are built for the crash and not the commute.

If we employed the tech we already have then cars would be all but crash proof.

Rich people have their thumbs on the scales and are suppressing this technology.

I can't wait till WWII is fought over the precursors needed for modern battery construction.

The carbon footprint accrued from the production, processing, and transportation of the elements needed for battery production will never be offset in the lifetime of any EV.

Sure buddy. But the oil and gas industries keep digging deeper and deeper to find those rich sources of oil.

Sodium is 3x heavier than lithium. No magick science is gonna change that. Marginal performance boosts will never make them EV viable.

They are good for electric grids and some small device applications but they will never be EV viable.

Brocephus I have the 1st gen sodium ion cells here from Sriko batteries and they stay cool as cucumbers no matter how many amps I give them. I have 3s2p worth of 18 amp hour cells for a total of 36 amp hours and they are rated at 5c chargin which means I could theoretically give them whatever 36x5 is in terms of amps.

You do the math motherfucker. If you do that to any and I mean ANY lithium chemistry you're looking at a fire and lots of deadly toxic smoke.

Sodium ion batteries are not toxic even if you could manage to get one to burst into flame.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Bro I live and breathe batteries and electric motors and Rc aircraft. Been that way for 15 years now. Got an electric scooter too.

That's today idiot. 30 years ago lithium batteries were still a developing technology and we were more dependent on nickel or lead based batteries. The field of batteries is still evolving and we have candidates to surpass lithium in energy storage and production/extraction costs. Want to know what industry hasn't done that? Gas engines that have been reliant on oil for over a century, to the point we're exhausting oil fields that were once plentiful.

I agree with you that suburban sprawl sucks, but it's the ancient auto industry to blame for pigeonholing us in that direction. Now that the infrastructure is here? We need cars.

No. We're not going to live in your shitty little 5 minute cities. You live in them if they're so damn good.

No. We're not going to eat the bugs. Eat them yourself if they're so damn good.

We need better transportation solutions. I never mentioned banning cars. You did. All I said was fix the bloodbath of 42,000 people who dies last year in fiery auto crashes. Nice strawman though.

2/2 Hoo boy that was a lot of ASS umptions. Here, let me help you out. CO2 has fuck all to do with Earths temperatures. Its that yellow ball in the sky that determines whether or not you live in an ice age.

And guess what? We're at the tail end of an ice age right now. An ice age is determined by permanent ice caps at the poles. An Earth without permanent ice caps happens sometimes too.

I say you carry too much emotional baggage an its that shit you be smokin thats making your ass paranoid.

If it werent for humans and the industrial revolution the plants would be going hungry RN. Can you read a simple chart? Note how the atmospheric CO2 levels have been going DOWN for millions of years?

Humans are the solution, not the problem. Burn all the gas you want while it lasts. But how long is that? 50 years? 500? Then what?

Plants consume far more CO2 than the animals can produce. CO2 is heavier than other atmospheric gases. Plants put carbon into the ground and look where that is headed.

Only volcanic activity can save life on this planet by spewing metric fucktons of plant food aka CO2 into the atmosphere. That and human activity.

yes but it will take time to change the design of cities and put in place infrastructure for people again. I am so fortunate to live in a suburb I can walk to everything I need. I don't even need a bike. I use public transport for distance when I need. I vote based on who best supports public transport. I have had friends and family almost die in car accidents.
