It's not the site's fault, it's the software running in the background. There is no library for webp in node.js and I think also python.

Jewgle invented webp as a lightweight container for images. The thing is, is this a problem today? I get 150 ads trying to pop up and shit telling me about cookies every time I open a page. If it's about saving bandwidth, they're about 30 years too late. Or is this one of those "if the airlines removed one olive from each salad, they save, $1.2 gorillion a year" things?
