Pic Related has occurred today.

And fellow 30+ millennials/gen x’ers fill me in on how worse it's going to get??

When does the back pain start
Anonymous No.940953265 >>940953334
39 and I've never had back pain, but in the last month I have what I call 'lower back awareness' where I can feel that it might start hurting if I treat it wrong
I have had the worst posture my entire life sitting and standing so I'm trying to do a little better at that and its helped a bit

>how worse it's going to get
mid 30s is when I started having to pay attention to losing weight and what I eat and drink a bit more. beforehand I could rely on exercise to balance out eating nothing but carbs and grease and drinking 10 pints every night, now I try to eat only 80% grease and sometimes drink less per night

it takes a lot longer to get fit/build muscle now. even when I was 30, I could do some intense physical activity and then feel physically stronger a week later. now I have to plan and work on shit more to make it happen
honestly tho I was never more attractive to women than when I was 28-35 or so, once you hit 30 if you seem to have your shit together there's a large group of girls who'll flock to you and you're young enough that its not too weird to date a 25 year old

Interesting, unfortunately my face filled out a bit at 25 and my job isn't exactly top tier.

Aside from getting fit, I'll throw in the towel when it comes to women lol

Gen xers are all in their 40s now. The only real difference I remember feeling at turning 30 is whatever fucks I had left to give just completely evaporated. I don't care anymore. I'm a loser. This is where I wound up. I don't care what other people think about me. I don't care about making the world better. I'm just waiting for death.

It doesn't magically get worse. You're 30 you should be able to afford a good bed. Stay healthy and active and you'll be fine. Sure you won't have the same energy and bounce back ability as someone 10 years younger but then again once you're 40 you'll miss your 30 year old youthfulness.

Anonymous No.940953567 >>940955054

Balding is not the issue it's weight gain.
No one cares if a man is bald past 25ish.
It's your metabolism slowing down and blowing up that gets you.

that happened to me already, once I hit 25 I went from 180 to 270, my neck area filled up too, but not a giant pot belly

Probably because I went from a physically demanding job to where I sit all day

Slow down dude.
Trust me. 30 to 35 it slows down even more. Losing weight becomes very hard 35+.
You don't want to hit 300-400.

top tier job is not required, just seeming like you know what you're doing and having some basics worked out will do it. getting somewhat fit, having some decent-fitting clothes and being comfortable in who you are is a starting point

these things come in waves. I think early 30s was a sweet spot for still young and feeling like you're in your 20's while knowing who you are and caring less. In the last year or so, I've hit a different level of comfortable and confident in areas like work and dealing with people, I wish I had it at 30 but probably comes with the territory of nearing 40. the physical side is less easy, but if I manage to maintain it I can see my 40s being a really great chunk of my life.

thats good. focus on limiting liquid calories, and exercise is more important than you think. working out burns calories in the moment, building muscle increases your base metabolic rate, and having core muscle increases the structure underneath fat so you look good sooner as you lose it

I think at your age I was at 200 or little over.
Then over the next 5 to 7 years I just exploded and hit 300 then 350.
I felt enormous and still struggle to lose it.
Idk I think it might just be a part of aging honestly. My real point is don't be careless like me and think you can still eat desserts and drink beer all the time like when you were younger.

the problem with hair loss is that once it starts, it's too late. you have to be proactive with it. If I had understood this when I was your age I'd still have my hair. Good luck.

Happy birthday OP.
Not much back pain, eye sight got worse late 40's. I need glasses for reading now. I was never fat but gained 20 pounds in a few years since I quit smoking. My knees give me problems when I run more then 2 miles. I go to bed way earlier now, and get up so much sooner
You care much less what others think so that's a plus.

Not always. The Saturn return occurs between ages 27 and 30.

And Saturn rewards or punishes.
So the Saturn return can be pleasant for some and bad for others.

Older millennial pushing 40 here. I feel about the same now as I did at 30. No back pain but I stayed in shape. My younger collegues who are 25-28 are all fucked up because they let themselves go to shit after finishing college. I started late in the university and was generally the oldest in any class, but I was and still am in better shape than all of them now. Maybe half look older than I do now, especially the women.
>TLDR
>am an oldfag in great shape
>get in shape and stay in shape now, otherwise you will be fucked at 40 like many people are at 25-28 these days

the last 5 or so years of being on my phone too much have done more to injure my back and neck and shoulders than years of skateboarding, copying jackass and getting blackout drunk ever did.

now that I think about this. isn't it odd they never did massive PSAs about posture or overuse of phones when they started to be a common affordable thing? or still now even?

they will warn you with bright red letters about some rare south African virus found 20 states away from you but never mainstream warnings about how bad your phone is fucking up your back. makes me wonder if its not I te tional, a weakening of the hoarde to easier control.
