The entirety of Trump's motivation is that he wants into the ((club)). Biden's handlers already knew who was on the Epstein list and that's why they kept it a non-issue. Trump, being clueless made it a campaign issue. Then he found out it was mostly "behind the scenes" Israelis, had his "oh fuck" moment, and has been desperately trying to back track ever since. The high ranking in-the-know democrats were loving it the whole time because they knew it was going to blow up in his face because they know he can no more go against ((the masters) then they could without invoking the Kennedy treatment. AS much as the left wants to screech about Trump being the next Hitler, unfortunately, he isn't. People with strength of conviction haven't entered politics in almost a century
