There's a major war going on in Ukraine (started by Biden btw) and refineries are being blown up, etc. This effects the global price of gas.
Nevertheless, the average US price is slightly less than it was a year ago on this day according to this forbes article:

$3.10 today versus $3.21 a year ago. Not a huge difference but its something. Trump is working on it. He's working on ending the war in Ukraine and when that happens that is really going to knock the price down on a global level.

Trump solved the problem of Insulin prices in his first administration. Then Biden took office, undid the progress Trump made, and recreated the problem that Trump had fixed. Again, I'm sure Trump is on the case to fix the problem (again). Unfortunately these solutions can always be undone whenever another Demoncrap president takes office, as Biden clearly has shown.
