Today marks the 65th anniversary of the assassination of Inejiro Asanuma, the leader of the Japanese communist movement, by 17-year-old Otoya Yamaguchi, who was a hero to his country.
On the wall of his jail cell, Otoya wrote "seven lives for my country," echoing the words of fourteenth-century samurai Kusunoki Masashige, before committing suicide.
He is credited by many with causing the collapse of the communist party in Japan, as it was never able to unify as strongly afterward.

Inejiro Asanuma was the Charlie Kirk of his time. This was a political assassination and goes against the principles of freedom of expression which is protected in Article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. I hope Otoya rots in Hell for eternity, and I hope Tyler Robinson will join him soon.
