yes I understand that slop was already an issue, but the problem has exacerbated far beyond imagination and it's only going to get worse. before, when people wanted to make low effort slop, it had to at the very least be intelligible, meaning that it could be understood. even TMZ makes something intelligible, despite how shit it actually is, right? now, all one has to do is use a few AI generators to produce unhinged hallucinogenic trash, which means that a veritable ocean of trash content continues to grow by the hour. youtube won't do anything about it because it makes them money, so as long as there is a financial incentive, it's going to get to the point where this cancer overtakes the entire site.
basically, I don't think this is a problem that will mitigate itself, and it threatens to destroy the entire internet, because AI isn't just a problem on youtube. search engines, comment sections, the entirety of social media, it's mired in AIslop.
