Fetlife - hm, don't really remember if there was any specific "strat" involved. I just made a profile, described myself/background/interests, a couple relatively flattering pics of myself (don't think I posted nudes back then) so people know I'm not a creep, listed my sexual kinks and interests (as one does on Fetlife), then engaged in some groups and local forums. I went to a few local munches/meets so at least I was somewhat 'vetted' as a real person and again, not a creep.
