If you are going to do them in the oven you should veey very lightly coat them in baking powder first. Not like breading, just a slight dusting. Helps the skin crisp better. But a proper Buffalo wing is deep fried. You separate the drum from the flap, remoce that weird little wing tip since there's no meat on it, then deep fry it for, like, 15 minutes. Then remove them from the oil, let the oil drip off them, then toss them in a sauce.

But I will say I have had many places make breaded chicken in an air frier and the breading never comes out crispy. Nothing I have ever had made in an air frier has been comparable to proper deep frying when it comes to crispiness. I also turn thr pan on high initially to get it up to temp then drop it down to a medium heat before I put my food in it. Tobe Hooper was a great director. I don't care what folks say about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, that movie was awesome. Dennis Hopper was completely unhinged and it was incredible. All in all I'd say the wing sauce was pretty damn good. Next time I will use less butter and try to find a way to get the sauce to emulsify properly. Maybe add a little bit of corn starch? But for a first attempt it was pretty good. Sometimes audiences are just as fucked up as critics. For the 2011 remake of The Thing they built really great animatronics, filmed it, showed it to test audiences who were shitting all over the effects so they covered it all up with CGI. State of the art animatronics and the film wasn't half bad either, only the CGI was out of place like the life action humans in the Warcraft movie.

They used real zombies for the film, de Rossi never had anything to do with it. That's bullshit of course, he really slathered the guys in makeup, caking up layer after layer.

It's pretty impressive what de Rossi did with it but it must've been hell for the zombie actors, IIRC a lot of ammonia was involved, but the whole idea of having them look and act according to the caribbean legends was the key to the feel. Still, for as great as Fury Road was, it still doesn't come close to the magnificence that is Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome. I am obsessed with Tina Turner's portrayal of Auntie Entity. She's just so god damned weird in that movie and it's amazing.

For me it's about seeing where humans once dwelled. We had old ghost towns back home and those were fascinating. Old 19th century gold rush towns that were abandoned when the gold ran dry and the wood buildings were still around since the desert was so hot and dry it greatly slowed the decay of the wood.

If I remember correctly that island was a big inspiration behind the first Silent Hill game. The photos and eerieness of a city being completely abandoned. That and Centralia, Pa. Though the creators didn't try and model a specific town or anything like that.

But then they went mainstream and were sort of ruined by the bullshit like The Walking Dead and World War Z and now major studios try to put out these garbage products to cash in on the popularity of zombies when before it was real fuck freaks making gory films about dead people eating alive people. Freaks was fantastic, yes. Todd Browning was a visionary. His Dracula movie about that dracula played by Bela Lugosi was fantastic. Frankenstein was a work of pure Expressionist genius and The Bride of Frankenstein was way ahead of its time with all the queer coding. Plus the heartbreaking portrayal of Adam by Boris Karloff? I gotta say that I really liked The Walking Dead at first but after that end of season one I knew it's not gonna shape up to much good.

I watched the first episode and wasn't very impressed. World War Z is basically an action movie. A lot of zombie popular mainstream zombie movies are action movies. That's not what zombie movies are supposed to be about. 28 Days Later doesn't have zombies in it. The people in 28 Days Later aren't dead and they aren't eating people.

Frankenstein was quite sad, Adam was forced into existence and then abandoned by his creator. When he tried to make his way in the world the world not just shunned him, but actively tried to kill him. He was completely and totally alone and that turned him quite bitter and angry. But even in his rage the only thing he truly wanted was to be loved and accepted by someone. In the novel the ending is that Victor Frankenstein dies and the monster expresses sorrow and guilt over the loss of his father, grieving him and deciding that he will self immolatenfar and away from everybody. The Elephant Man was a wonderful film. Very very sad, with an excellent performance by John Hurt as Joseph Merrick.

I had a DVD copy that I got when I moved on from watching exclusively horror movies into post-apocalyptic movies. I had seen the second one first and did think it was the first one, then when I got it on DVD I was quite confused but realized that, oh, the second one, the one I and everybody else had seen, is actually a sequel and that, in the first two movies society hasn't broken down completely. In the first one society is still relatively strong but is starting to break down. At the end Max goes to the wastelands where society has no control and between the first two films society collapses completely after a nuclear war.
