Honestly, work out during the day. It will naturally burn you out.
Melatonin works too (under the tongue).
Don't rely on sleep aid chemicals because they have stupid side effects.

But here is a life hack. Over the counter gravel works wonders. It's for neaseau but it has a sleep aid in it that doesn't cause side effects (like groggyness).

I think the dose is 2 pills for an adult. But I hate meds. So I only ever took half of 1 pill. It knocks you out big time. And I'm 6'2" and 230lbs.
(Just don't take it on a full stomach because it'll hardly work. And it can't be mixed with booze at all).

Stop thinking. That is what keeps you awake.

You cant let any thoughts finish because your mind will just race on and on. The best way to go to sleep fast is to cut off any thoughts before they end.

I can fall asleep within a couple minutes. My wife suffers from insomnia and is always jealous of me. I have a technique.

1. Focus on going over every part of your body and relieving any tension. Make sure your left arm is relaxed and not tense being forced to hold that position, then the right arm, right leg, left leg, etc. Make sure every part of your body is actually relaxed. It is easy to hold tension in places and not realize it.
2. Once you have made sure you are truly relaxed focus on clearing your mind. Take deep breaths and stop letting your mind race. Try to make your mind silent.

turn off all phones/computers/consoles/anything electronic that will distract your ass and be sat there alone with your thoughts

or get a bunch of drugs, theres some snake oil CBD with shit that helps you sleep too

Plenty of these things don't work for severe insomnia at all. You can work out daily, have <30 minutes daily screen time etc and still not be able to keep your eyes closed. If this is a persistent issue, please do at least see a medical professional about it.

Melatonin does absolutely nothing for me at this point. Doesn't even make me notably more sleepy since I'm always tired.
