I have been on 4chan literally almost every single day since 2003. This is my first time posting or even visting /b/ since 2006. Why am I such a tangent portion of this place? It is mixed into the very DNA of my life and reality. I'm 32. Even when I became homeless and lived in the woods for 4 years I was on here.

Yeah, my road dog had a box that was like a proto-starlink with 200GB limited data a month from satellite services which was way more than we ever needed. Literally spent an entire 2 months in the mountains of remote colorado watching a family guy marathon and smoking weed. The three of us were all homeless travelers with jack shit money but we got by very nicely because we were young and intelligent and cut completely different from the normalfag NPCs that fill the US. Now I own 200 acres in Oregon with my brother and I make $126k a year doing cyber security for a contractor in Chile. Traveling broke and homeless nets you an insane amount of connections, I recommend doing it in a similar manner to how people in the UK would go join the foreign legion. Go freebie your way into some festivals and hang out with gutter trash, you will come back a renaissance man.

You meet legitimately insane people on the road. I met a big guy, 6'3 in Sedona and he was an old metalhead. Probably about 52 years old. He was an oldschool body builder and ex-marine, and he'd get drunk and become just an absolute fucking demon of a person. He was chill for a while then he started getting extremely and disconcertingly narcissistic to a degree that was obtuse and bewildering. After a bit of that he also began taking offense to even the most minor things, like us not letting him bless our food with a native American prayer before eating. Soon he would hold grudges against all of us for slights he invented entirely, and he literally tracked me down across a quarter of the country and tried to attack me in the dead of night in the middle of nowhere. I got there on foot and hitchhiking, so any degree of this penniless juggernaut being able to find me in the middle of nowhere that far and that long of a time in-between him assaulting me is mystical and unexplainable. Luckily at the time I was out there I was camping with a local who scared him off with a gun and I've never seen him again.
This sounds fake as fuck but it's 100% a genuine experience in which I'm still paranoid of 4 years later. It's also only a very small footnote of things which I experienced in that time and adventure. I could fill multiple books, much of it would be very McCarthy-esque. And again I highly recommend it.
