Nothing worked out for me. I always knew my adult life would suck, I enjoyed my childhood even though I was poor.
My adult life took me away from my friends by circumstance and I never made good new ones. Most of my time is spent alone on the internet now.
No social connections, no education, self employed for the last decade so no experience. I am demoralized but my saving grace is how stupid I am. I keep thinking eventually something will go my way and I will be able to afford a better life.

Definitely pick up the slack if you’ve been coasting, but pace yourself too. Being in your 30s now isn’t the same as it was 30 years ago.

For me, things really started to shift around that time. I didn’t start getting laid until I hit 30, when I could finally afford to move out and get a modest car.

30 is young. Technically right, it might be middle age, but now I am closing in on 40, and that's a lot different.
I think where 30 is a milestone is, that until that, you can get away with anything, being young protects you, but after 30, things start to catch up to you.
I was at a high school reunion last year, 20 years, two fucking decade, and most of my mates looked like a sack of fucking shit at 38.
Fat, unkempt, aging pathetic slobs. I have a wife 5 years younger than me, I practice martial arts, train 3 times a week, I still have the same size of clothes I had 20 years ago, I was a fucking god compared to them.
Mind you, I am aging too, some wrinkles near my eye, and I have inherited early graying hair from my mothers side, but if I would be willing to dye it, I could probably sell myself as 30 to 35.
So, at 30, my young fellows, time to start being mindful, leave clean and improve yourself both physically and mentally, because the scissor starts to open then and there.
