move to California and live somewhere dirt cheap like the central valley and do community college, get straight As and transfer to a UC with the blue and gold opportunity. Tuition waver for anyone that makes less than 80k a year. Must be a resident in cali for a year though for FAFSA to work.

you don't need film college just watch filmmaking YouTube and copy what they do

most importantly make short films, make a lot of them, using the lighting/audio/photography basics you learned on yt. a lot of us just buy gear and shoot test shots but never do any projects or only do one. you can hang out in the /vid/ general over in /p/ and they'll give you more advice if you get stuck.

oh and the best advice I ever got on writing that actually pushed me to write my first script was: write out of order. think of an ending, a punchline, a twist, some scenes you want to do, whatever, and just arrange them and fill in the gaps.

if your goal is money go play the lottery instead, you will have better chances
if you are genuinely interested in filmmaking nothing is holding you back, you have a phone and probably a lamp, hopefully a computer. you can shoot manual in the phone with opencamera, and you can use someone else's phone close to the subject taped to a stick for audio.
