>a general set of shared beliefs
The left isn't about beliefs. It's about the teachings of the cult and following them to remain a member. It's why the left never debates. Or why, when faced with a question they don't want to address, they either throw out insults or make excuses like "oh, well, I really have to go now". You see it all the time with celebrities. You make one mistake, whether correct or not, and you're out of the club.
>and actually all your beliefs are shared by people on the right
There are no shared "right beliefs". The right is a broad range and people identify that way for many different reasons. There are little groups on the right. You have the neocons in government, the libertarian types, the Michael Knowles/Charlie Kirk/Tucker Carlson types, you have the Jew-lovers like Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro, and it goes on and on. Among the general citizenry, they can be anything. Some are fiscally conservative and agree with the nuclear family, but they may be pro-abortion. Others may be all of that, anti-abortion, but anti-gun. You don't often meet two righties that agree on all the issues.
