This tells me you aren't using a virtual environment somewhere. Very common user error as their are multiple ways to go about setting one up. venv is my go to. They are important because it isolates each tool so dependencies don't clash as you cant have different versions on the same path priority. Idk if this makes sense but it's how i learned with brute force trial and error lmao

Comfy demands exponentially more clicks to perform basic tasks than alternatives. The only advantage is that it allows non-destructive reverse modification of workflow, meaning you can take an output and refine it without genning from scratch. This is of course a mostly useless advantage since you can do the same with far less effort by just genning from scratch.
Comfy is inferior because it overexposes the logic of SD. It makes decisions that are normally esoteric guided and granular which tends to involve yet more user input for incremental changes. Experimentation is magnitudes less intuitive.

The only application where comfy makes sense is if you are making huge batches (100s of images or more) with the ability to reverse specific settings in them collectively, e.g. a professional production pipeline.

This place has had the implicit condition that you will post content of a relatively narrow set of themes and objective quality (are people using detailing plugins or setting up nodes correctly, do their vaes work, etc.) Those 2 things manifest in posting behavior more than anything else with few exceptions.
This place had an implicit condition that higher objective quality and more nuanced subjective value were universally assumed to have more value and worth than those which are objectively low quality; e.g., slop posts.

I'm not describing a "rule" but a pretext to the thread. If you think this is somehow a bad idea, remember that the theme is exactly the same thing. It's a suggestion to accomplish the following:
1) Increase the longevity of these threads given an uncertain future
2) Perhaps better its users with higher standards

However, the original intention of this general faded and with that came a new culture of cheering on mediocrity, not just accepting it. Those who fostered this environment were always going to disagree with the original intent and I'm fine with that, though there has always been a motivation to scapegoat any criticism to being equivocated.

I've tried to remedy this issue in the past but it always ended up manifesting as 2 threads and this has never been soluble in the past due to a degree of separation between the 2 groups that meant the least frequented one slid. It's only a solution if people are willing to stick with it and that's not up to any 1 person. What you've done is take this suggestion as an attack and assumed because you are a vulnerable person people have maligned you.

The last time I went camping was was a mile or so down a river in a wilderness area with old growth trees. I was out on this large blonder outcroppung fishing for trout, and heard what sounded like someone on horseback(No horse allowed on that section of river) coming along the trail behind me. I could glimpse a hazy figure on horseback and waited for it to reach a clearing just below, but never appeared. Later that night was on same outcropping with a friend, and we saw a specter of light unlike anything we'd ever seen, ethereal, coming up the trail downriver from us. No one camped below us because it becomes a sharp drop off into river.Unnerved my friend whom I've never seen scared. Got on to trail and awaited it approach but veered off trail toward the steep mountain side and out of sight. Years later was telling this story to a group around a campfire, and a lady said that wasn't the first time she'd heard that story. She stated she had lived in that area, and it is well known that a ghost on horseback carrying a lantern haunts that river's edge which is very close to an old ferry point.
