Friendship is mostly about time tbh. In the right context. Gotta do something together with others you can tolerate, and eventually you just kinda become friends by default.
The tricky bit is you kinda need stuff to talk about, so it's a LOT easier if you've already GOT friends. If you've got nobody you need to kinda work on two different friend groups at once.
If you just have the one, you're boring.
The best path towards friends is to join at least two different groups at the same time. Doesn't really matter what. But if they don't work out, don't force it, just find something else. Cycle the worst one out and keep the better one.
Like 9/10ths wont work for you but that's just nature.
It can help to quit your coping mechanism too. If you play an MMO or whatever that'll keep you from being bored, and boredom is a super good motivator. When you're bored, suddenly things that sound terrible sound alright just because they're not boring.
Good luck /b/ro.
