Is 4chan a tool for good or evil?
Whenever I go on 4chan I find that it can lead you to becoming a bigger degenerate, finding new fetishes, porn etc... but sometimes I also find plenty of advice on how to improve your life
Would you say 4chan is a positive or negative influence?

Neither. Tools can only be what the one using them intends them to be.
It does get complicated with so maybe people weighing down the scales either way.
Some people see it as one of the few places to be free, because it is hard to get associated with your real life.
Places like redit and X have tons of people getting outed and cancels for minor to major social, or criminal offences.
I think it's a place where people can be themselves.
But that really means what do those people want to be.
And there are still those that just put on a face here even when they don't need to. Because no-one is looking, and no-one really cares.
I do thing the freedom of the place draws in more 'undesirables', especially on /b/ and /pol/, but I think there are likely just as many using the space for 'good'.
Now I don't see joining as any kind of evil unless evil was used to produce the going material. That being said, it is not a positive thing.
So nuetral but probably leaning evil because it's one of the few places people can express their 'baser' selves.
