When I wrote my first post, I wanted to plant a seed of hope. Some of you pointed out that it felt “engineered” or overlooked the evil that still surrounds us. You’re right. Hope without honesty is just empty cheerleading, and we don’t need more illusions.

The truth is, we are surrounded by both light and darkness. Corruption, greed, and cruelty are real forces in this world. But so are compassion, ingenuity, and resilience. Every breakthrough in science, every act of kindness, every spark of creativity is proof that the story is still unfolding.

Yes, there are shadows—but shadows only exist because something brighter is casting them. The question isn’t whether evil exists, but whether we allow it to define us.

We don’t have to deny the weight of despair to believe in the possibility of something greater. In fact, hope only means something when it stares directly into suffering and says: this will not be the end.

The best isn’t guaranteed—it’s chosen. Chosen in every moment we refuse to give in to hatred, chosen in every act of creation, chosen in every refusal to surrender to despair.

i have only one hope for the world, that even as all of time draws to the bitter end, the wheels of time will find there way back to this moment, the suffering of all of life refreshed in all the time which preceded this moment and for all of time to come after it, again and again for all of eternity.
