>read about how it’s done to babies, no anesthesia sometimes
>feel queasy imagining that
>watch a medical video of the procedure
>have to pause, legit feel faint
>keep digging, find studies on how it affects sensation, intimacy
>realize I’ll never know what it’s like to have my full body
>some call it mutilation, others say it’s no big deal
>just “standard procedure” at the hospital
>feel like I’ve been robbed of something important
>not even sure who to be mad at—doctors? society? parents?
