I like vampires but vampyre the soulsbourn kinda game wasn't too good and all i know about masquerade is the tabletop and images of jeanette

I prefer redemption but it takes a lot of work to make it playable on modern systems, vtmb is a classic and pretty inexpensive but I would recommend getting some mods for it.
as for vtmb2 I haven't played it and it looks like it's really trying hard to cash in on the original but without the charm, original writers (they actually fired one of the original writers), or understanding of the core gameplay mechanics.
I am definitely biased, so I can't give a fair assessment.

Man, The Masquerade: Bloodlines was a broken, fucked up game that needed to be patched to hell and back just to make it stable enough to run. And it was ugly to look at, even by the standards of the time. Fuckin' fucked up half-assed broken-ass piece of shit is still one of my favorite games ever, and every few years or so I reinstall it. If the new one is as fun and immersion as the original, it's got to be good

Of course. That's the main appeal of the game, that there's so many RP options. It's not a game like Skyrim, where the race you pick really only effects you early on, but eventually you get so powerful that your racial pros and cons don't even matter anymore. VTMB forces you to make a few decisions at the beginning of the game that will determine how you play for the entirety of the game. You can't just powerlevel yourself to full stats across all disciplines. For instance, if you pick Gangrel as your clan, you'll never level up so far that you're indistinguishable from a Toreador or something. Your identity is set in stone from the beginning. I mean, you're still malleable, but only to an extent.

It makes for a great degree of replayability, hence people still playing and modding the original game for 20-ish years now (as broken as the vanilla version is). Again, if the new game is close to the original in terms of immersion, it's got to be a good game.

But why is 4chan making it so hard to post right now? It's taking several minutes to load the captcha, and then the captcha is some new shit where you only type the letters with circles over them. The fuck is this?

It's not quite like that. Vampires are just dead. Shit just doesn't function. There is a special perk that allows kindred to be more 'lifelike' and that includes sexual function, but they still can't reproduce.

As a general rule, the closest thing a vampire can feel to pleasure is satisfying the Thirst. That's the whole purpose of the curse, it removes all the human pleasures and joys of 'life' and supplants them with The Beast and all that that entails.

Maybe nWoD changes parts of that, but as an oWoD fag that is how it be.

I distinctly remember vamps being able to temporarily mimic bodily functions by expending vitae, including things like eating and keeping the food down to stuff like pissing and sweating, the catch being that if they expel anything the vitae/blood goes with/instead of the thing being expelled (in the case of trying to eat food, for example, you’d vomit up the food and blood too unless you keep spending vitae to digest it etc).
