A few years ago me and my buddy we're walking down the sidewalk minding our own business when we passed some old man and his wife. There is some kind of mental lag within the post-2005 gen-z mind. Socially retarded and most of their social life is done through voice chats online so even when they're "confident" they lack the life experience to talk.

I'm on the older end of gen Z, I luckily didn't have a phone or use voice chats so my talking to people didn't rely on video game context cues, short context related call outs and not seeing the other person. I use it to my advantage, if I'm getting an interview I do it in person even if they want to do it over the phone, just being capable of holding a conversation, directing a conversation, teaching and listening in real life puts you miles above the rest of this age group.

When I worked at McDonalds I was stuck on customer facing. The older woman just didn't want to do it and was better at cooking and people my age was dreadful at it, too slow and kept getting complaints. They never even taught me to make a burger, I was stuck customer facing because everybody else was retarded.
Quitting is when I realised how bad gen Z was. The guy who covered my breaks was an autistic kid from my old school, I expected awkward from him, I didn't expect the "normal" people just a year or 2 younger than me, I was "teaching" to struggle so hard to talk to everyone they worked with or with the customers. But in the end it makes me happy knowing that my peers are incapable of communicating properly, I might not have the best qualifications on paper but I can learn and act normal which is enough, once you get past the AI filtering.
