yeah, I've taken breaks in the past, will likely do the same in the future too :) someday I may "retire" or stop posting, who knows, I base it all on feedback and vibes from the threads

golden age is going to vary depending upon who you ask, some people will say early days when baileyjay, nataliemars, etc used to post here...
as for what killed it? competing platforms, declining popularity of 4chan, we saw a resurgence during Covid as everyone was at home most of the time, then once return to office mandates and school mandates came out, less people posted here over time...
the lack of traffic was then exploited by mentally ill idiots who spam a bunch of garbage and drove off a lot of the remaining posters
that's my theory anyway :)
