7 years ago, I saw a TINY BLACK KITTEN
running in the middle of a busy street, with cars zipping past, and she was lightning fast, with an odd 'pinball machine' bouncing ping pong technique of running, ZIPPING REALLY FAST, suddenly stopping and flying off in a different direction

she was no bigger than the palm of my hand, solid black, and hard for drivers to see as they came speeding down that hill

Rocket somehow magically managed to NOT get run over. I pulled over, jumped out and stopped traffic

but crazy tiny rocket FLEW out of the street, and into a wooded area

so I had to come back later to find her
which I did
she was now on a less busy street, with barely any traffic, still ZIPPING & RUNNING everywhere like a nutcase
here's a video of me catching her that night

we brought her home, and she started RUNNING AND ZIPPING everywhere through our house, literally jumping up and using her feet to launch herself off the walls... BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS and continuing to run in a different direction

I told Wendy "she's like a bottle rocket"

And that's how she got her name

rockets 7 years old and STILL the most athletic of the 5 cats

she loves getting the other cats wound up by running and (still) bouncing off the walls until the other cats can't take it anymore and they start the same behavior

lol I totally forgot she was so fucking small, she didn't even weigh enough to trip the mechanism in the hav-a-heart trap

It took her two times to actually trip the extremely sensitive mechanism

she weighed less than an empty styrofoam cup lol

And now she is HUGE!!!!
