I'm pretty sure that's more or less a scientific concept at this point. You can't really pinpoint where anything is on a microscopic scale if you look at it closely enough. No two clocks run at the same speed. I think there are trends and guidelines, but there are no actual rules. Humans made them up. Some concepts are more useful than others, and there are probabilities, but there's no such thing as "reality".

Not much has. Things have become more disgusting and toxic though, because the majority of people now have invisible strings attached to them, dictating their motions. Now we have conveniences which make life both better and worse too, but still, it is up to you to isolate yourself from the issue.
