within the last couple years, an anon was on here saying he needed to clear out a small amount of BTC from a wallet he was going to destroy
didn't explain why, just said that he needed it gone and would send it to the first address posted
i don't really do much crypto stuff, but i generated a BTC address, and sure enough, about 7 USD of BTC showed up
it has more than doubled in value, hoping to retire on it
many years ago now, an anon was sending out $0.25 of BTC in exchange for MS Paint drawings made on the spot; they didn't have to be good
i made one, and he sent the BTC; i don't remember what year this was, but i left 4chan for several years in 2015, and this was around that time, so it would be worth probably 100 USD now
i'm pretty sure i lost that wallet due to a few years of alcoholism, ill health, and chaos that upended my life
