Ngl, that's probably true. It could have been such a great game, and I did enjoy my first playthrough, despite the gutted chapter two and how try to force you to play online.
But I tried to replay it twice and always was put off by the online fuckery.

I barely made it through 4, the story seemed done with 3. At least for me. I'm not down with old snake or any other snake. Just give me OG David Hayter Solid Snake and 1980s Outer Heaven setting. Give me some camo and sweaty biceps like in Predator.

See MGS 5 was basically my first introduction to the franchise. I then played MGS1 and tried to play MGS2 but got put off by the controls (don't have a gamepad and never bothered getting one).
