The main issue with exiting metro line is that it's great to go in out Paris, but shit to go suburb to suburb because you have to go to Paris first then change line to your destination.
The current infrastucture project is to create new line that connect towns at the periphery of Paris between each other.

Kek I was only in central London. Dirty, smelly and full of bums. The streets were quite narrow and claustrophobic too. The rich area around Hyde Park was the nicest I saw but it was meh. Paris has beautiful broad streets and it is filled with gardens, parks, art and excellent food. London and Oxford were the only two cities I didn't like in my whole trip. That's true. The sidewalks (pavement) are too narrow in most places and people just walk right into you and don't move out of the way. Maybe we have different definitions of nice. I like all the old buildings and charming woodwork interiors etc. I saw no abandoned or derelict buildings, no urban decay. Everything was functional, clean, taken care of, and open for business with plenty of foot traffic. Being in this state alone puts is miles beyond just about any American city.

There was very little greenery in London and that goes a long way in making a city nice. Paris is full of trees, parks and private gardens. There was plenty of nice architecture in London but nowhere near as good as Edinburgh, Paris or Amsterdam. I agree on the interiors though.

First time I went to Paris my flight was delayed and landed just after midnight. The only transportation to the city center at that time was a bus that dropped me right outside the Gare Du Nord. I was pretty on edge standing there with my suitcase while hordes of Africans hung around at 1am. However, aside from that I really enjoyed my time in Paris and would rate it among my favourite cities in the world. I hope to return soon for a longer stay.

Paris is a very nice city, there are still beautiful neighborhoods that don't get overwhelmed by tourists (parts of the 8th and 6th) but life in any city is physically and morally unhealthy. I moved from Portugal (Porto) to Paris and I'm full of regrets. Everything here sucks, service quality sucks, food sucks (even expensive food), everything is damn expensive and the quality is of everything is poor. The city is very dirty too. The only good part is that they removed the cars from the city center and all the job opportunities.

Can't wait to go back to Portugal.

I got accepted at a job and they asked me to relocate to Lisbon and I really don't like Lisbon so they said I could come to work in Paris instead and I said yeah because I had come to Paris a couple times as a tourist and enjoyed it.
Next year I'll ask to relocate to Spain to get lower taxes then I'll go back to Portugal
