i shot at a groundhog and it didnt die

its been burrowing under my shed and i didnt want it destroying my shed's foundation. something also broke into my chicken coop feeder and it might have been this groundhog. it was grazing and i opened up my bedroom window and i shot it in the upper chest with a suppressed keltec cp33 loaded with subsonics and it leaped and scrambled under the shed. i fear that i hurt it and didnt kill it immediately

he is a very hefty boy maybe 22lr subsonics is too smol of a round i should have used 5.56. i feel terrible

it was a fully grown adult groundhog that just decided to move in, these guys are larger than fully grown raccoons. I've killed at least 8 groundhogs before with the same setup but this groundhog is far larger than anything ive ever dealt with before. Leave it to a cucked canuck to be the one to dispute firepower potential; im not shocked you have to make your shrimpdick look big somewhere

There used to be these groundhog hunting vids on YT that they used like completely hollow .223 rounds to shoot, and it was like an ultra hollow point, they’d explode, I can’t be assed to find it, but it was a classik on /k/ back in the day.
