I had a choice to buy a similarly priced 2023 Toyota Corolla and 2020 Honda Civic but decided to go for the Kia because it was the only one which had wireless android auto and wireless phone charging. Very hands-free.
The Honda Civic had wired Android auto, but when I connected my USB wire into it, the Android auto wouldn't work. Even my car salesman tried connecting his wire into the car, yet he couldn't get the Android Auto to work on his phone either. So, useless for me.
The 2023 Toyota Corolla came with wireless Android auto, both me and the salesman tried connecting our phones with bluetooth, but none of us were successful. So much for muh "Toyota reliability".
I was really hoping that the 2023 Toyota Corolla would work out, but sadly it failed in the most crucial criteria. Meanwhile, the 2022 Kia Forte connected to my phone within seconds, Android Auto and google maps were up and running in less than 10 secs. Plus, I could charge my phone wirelessly!
Why do folks on here keep saying about Hondas and Toyotas being 'reliable' and 'it just works' but when it came to actually delivering, both cars failed spectacularly?
>>22828622 (OP)Way to come out of the closet anon.
>>22828622 (OP)My honda civic USB android link doesn't work either.
I honestly prefer my old 2016 Hyundai Elantra to my 2021 honda civic sport.
It was cheaper and more fun to drive also it had a CD player.
>>22828622 (OP)>GOOD MORNING SAARRSOP is a jeet with shit credit. Kia and Hyundai are equivalent to Nigsan here where they give anyone credit. It's always a jeet with Paranda on their shitty Elantra
>the most crucial criteria is connecting to infotainment
You are not a White man.
>>22828622 (OP)You sound poor and dumb as fuck so it baffles me that you didnt buy a Nissan Altima.i
They always are proud of where they come but they never seem to want to go back
>>22828627>>22828624Yeah I wanted my wireless android auto. So ? I like hands-free navigation. I don't drive cars for "thrill" or "joy". I seek joy in making money from my salary (I work in tech as software dev) and investing and trading in stocks + crypto (more money).
>>22828623Are Kias considered
>>22828630>hands-free navigationDefinitely not a White man. No White man needs jewgle maps or wayze maps to get anywhere.
>>22828630Clearly photoshop or even an AI construction. Look how frail her twiglike arms. her legs show no evidence of squats or even running. no muscles no definition. lastly, it doesnt matter who you are if you are going to box someone you dont wear a skirt and heels
>>22828622 (OP)I bought my wife a new Telluride the other year. So far it's been a good car.
>>22828622 (OP)What the fuck is KN? A chinese brand?
>>22828622 (OP)Toyota reliability is about the mechanic.
You have a 20k system that automatically detects your phone which will break in the next 8 years.
Congrats.
My car will get me from point A to point B until I'm too old to drive.
>>22828622 (OP)Nice car. Congratulations.
>>22828622 (OP)More like a service department issue. But yeah, they're expected to keep the cars at their best.
I also avoided a Rav4 because of infotainment compatibility, but would be open to buy another one in the future.
>>22828622 (OP)I don't know what this android/apple auto shit even fucking is. When I bought a car the salesman starting talking about it and I had to tell him to shut the fuck up.
I don't like cell phones. I bought the newest car I could find with a CD player. Otherwise I use bluetooth to stream music from youtube. No idea why you'd need anything more.
I was more concerned about: no cvt, no turbo, and no fucking sunroof. I lost the battle on the sunroof unfortunately but at least I have a well designed engine and transmission.
>>22828632You're just insecure. Picrel is a post she made right after their fight.
I refuse to buy anything past 2000 so there's that.
They have too much control over the new cars from cutting your engine from afar to lower quality items that makes up that car, too heavily dependant on technology and technology can be used against people they deem "doesn't have the right opinion" or in some other form tries to dictate how yoh should live YOUR life..
Not to mention that a var from pre 2000, you can fix but the more modern cars requires a shop to fix it for you as they're not designed to be fixed by anyone else then an authorized shop and they charge premium money for this as they know you just have a paperweight without their assistance
I wanted to buy a rav4 or CRV or something but they seem to be ridiculously priced now. I've come to the conclusion that this class of car (Corolla, Civic, Forte, Elantra) is the best fit for combination of driveability, purchase cost, running costs, repair costs. The only way to go from there is to get a hybrid version of the same car.
Excellent bait thread, enjoy your (you)
>>22828622 (OP)As long as you didnโt buy American you should be good
>>22828622 (OP)Should have gone for the Civic
>>22828641>but they seem to be ridiculously priced nowBeaners go crazy for Rav4/CRV and the Ford pick-up trucks, it is the ultimate status symbol in beaner civilization to have those vehicles
>>22828622 (OP)Not reading any of that you must be Indian to be proud of that car
>>22828622 (OP)When are you gonna get an AK sticker to plaster on the side you fucking jeet
>>22828635I don't intend to drive this Kia Forte for the rest of my life. Neither does my dad. I'm planning to gift him picrel when he turns 65 in 2 yrs: Black Toyota 4Runner (Hybrid turbo 4-cylinder) with Red interior seats.
And then I plan on ghosting him.
lol imagine buying a fucking shit Korean car in 2025. All the investment has gone into design - and I admit some of them are starting to look decent. But you talk to a mechanic and they will tell you that Hyundai engines are slapdash, get replaced more often than any other brand, poor tolerances and materials and a general design not intended to lastโฆ
Mazda is where it is at, for a combination of good looks and driving enjoyment. Their new inline 6 is really slick in an era where even BMW is giving up on that. And we are all still waiting for that direct injected, all aluminum, laser ignition rotary RX-9 one dayโฆ
If you really just treat your car as a driving appliance, what you are projecting to the world is that you are a soulless NPC. You have chosen simplicity of purchase and maintenance over having any kind of personal style or engagement with the machine soul.
No Hyundai has ever has a soul, unless it was given to it by a backyard mechanic owner through ardor and labour over years of struggle. From the factory floor they are just empty husks, designed to take you from point A to point B until, like their drivers, they gracelessly expire.
>>22828622 (OP)Annnnd it just got stolen by 2 nigger boys using a usb cable and a paperclip
Alright well thanks for coming to thread everybody
>>22828622 (OP)Lol, this is obvious bait.
>>22828640Ehh I have done a ton of work on 2015 era cars for myself and friends before. Itโs not that hard and in fact with a cheap scanner the OBD stuff is very helpful.
I think some brands are worse - stay the fuck away from the German stuff, they loathe you working on it yourself - but American and Japanese cars are still fair game for the backyard wrench.
>>22828641>compact SUVThey're good family cars, they're best just for comfortably moving people around. New version of a minivan.
Not good at all for off road, not that great for freeway driving (higher risk of rollover), not that good for hauling stuff (can fit more than a car but not that much more).
Accord/Camry is the way to go. Normal transmission, normal engine, smooth comfortable ride. Civics and Corollas were good back before they had CVTs.
Should have bought a tesla, used teslas can be found for less than 20k and low mileage
>>22828647>>22828649Why would I do that ? I'm not a Punjabi nor a Sikh. I'm a sophisticated white collar IT worker born and raised in a proper urban city (Mumbai), not some rural redneck Punjabi retard who grew up around violence, drugs, and loud Punjabi music.

>car thread
How's the market in your cunt bros? In ours, it's pretty much over. Everyone but the uber rich is priced out.
Also, I'd love some tips and suggestions from Brazil anons, I want to get rid of my Kwid, get something safer.
Considering the motor and transmission issues Kia/Hyundai are known for I wouldn't spend a single cent on one. Also wouldn't buy anything with a turbo. Just asking for more repairs.
>buying a trash Korean car that won't even last 150,000km for shit you can buy for like $50 to plug into the car's USB/charging/aux ports
Gonna guess this is bait that not even /o/ took so you came here to bait boomers instead.
If you're not baiting you're genuinely an idiot for buying a car for fucking audio features over performance and reliability. Hell my choices when buying a used car were between Mazda, Nissan or BMW and I took the latter cause even after repairs it'll last for years longer and with far better horsepower even if I had to pay $50 for a phone stand and aux to USB-C cable to play music off my phone. I know our car market is shit but fuck man Kia's are notorious for being trash PLUS they're easy as fuck to steal.
>>22828663The Kwid (2021) + 30k BRL so around 60k, I guess.
>>22828651That works with the non transponder ignition keys
Likely 2022 Kia's are push button started
However, niggers will take years to forget that and will break in just in case they can.
This and the major ongoing engine recall made Kia/Hyundai impossible to buy for me - I liked them before though.
>>22828622 (OP)>choosing a car based on phone compatibility.Show us your surgical wound, you will never be a woman.
>>22828657If they depreciate that fast, should be for a reason, right?
Everything Tesla is expensive and there aren't a lot of independent shops that can maintain them.
Battery replacement will total the car.
Toyota hybrid batteries can be bough for ~2K - yes, not the same capacity, but even without it you still have a "running" car.
>>22828661Why would anyone ever buy a Kwid? Jesus fuckin Christ, anon.
At least tell me it was cheap (even a cheap used Kwid is a bad idea because you can get an infinitely superior, though a little bit older, vehicle at the same price, but at least it approaches being a reasonable purchase)
>>22828670Corolla is certainly on my radar, too bad a 2015 one costs around R$80k or more.
>>22828978It's my first car, please no bully. It was R$45k, bought it about two years ago.
Only now I'm realizing how dogshit this car is.
>>22829063>Corolla is certainly on my radar, too bad a 2015 one costs around R$80k or more.Go older. Learn how to find a good specimen. It is a bit tricky for a beginner, but it is not rocket science.
>>22830114>Learn how to find a good specimenDo you have any resources I can use for that?
>he bought a car not based on reliability but based on the fucking infotainment system that will be out of date in 3 years
I fucking shiggy diggy. holy shit you're dumb.
