The ban lasted so long because making hsg stealth threads became a sort of a meme, ad some trash threads in particular were associated with discords iircs, plus the altchans were big contributors too. I'm no saying there weren't mods that just blanked banned homestuck and deleted it whenever they say it, the /co/ topics ban list was a thing. But it was enforced by one dude afawk and there wasn't a sort staff wide hate.
