The company has since instead raised money three times to the tune of C$91M plus the now announced fourth financing which will probably end up raising about C$30-35M more. They had about 192M shares outstanding at the end of 2023, now they have 308M shares out which they will increase to about 350M after this PP closes. And a loooot of warrant overhang on top. The deposit is somewhat of a Great Bear analogy, they were bought out for roughly 50% higher than current Snowline mkt cap. Permitting timeline really does suck and hampers the return profile of these discoveries. They put in a 2030 target for permits in hand, and as always that is probably an optimistic scenario. While a permit is probably likely I assume the risk is higher than it was for Great Bear in Ontario, so that could make potential acquirers wait and see.
If you had the permit in hand today I'm sure you could sell it for 2-2.5x, but the value has to be discounted as well.

>>22857982>The deposit is somewhat of a Great Bear analogy, they were bought out for roughly 50% higher than current Snowline mkt cap.Wasn't that when gold was a lot lower?
>>22858023It was, but the leverage on these high margin deposits isn't huge. Mkt cap is US$900M right now without taking into account options and warrants. New resource is 9Moz, so that's already US$100/oz. Capex for a project this remote is going to be relatively high, I think the US$1.25B for a 9Mtpa mill this far out is optimistic.
First 5 full years of production is 2.7Moz, which is perhaps $4B in FCF. From then on out you are looking at maybe $300M/y in FCF for another 15 years.
What does an acquirer want to pay for this? $2B would be 2.2x current mkt cap + say $1.5B capex that's a $3.5B investment with a sub 5 year pay back and then 10% return for 15 years. Sounds about right, and that is assuming permit in hand. Can't really pay much more than that or return will be shit. Would be better if there was clear upside for another multiple decade UG operation, but the deposit as it is right now does not offer that much upside imo.
>>22858048If this is true why do banks and analysts have a price target double or triple the current value?
>>22858048Also if gold goes up, even by like $250, doesn't this radically increase the return on investment?
>>22858373No. That would be true for a marginal deposit, but margin is already very high on ounces produced at Snowline's deposit.
>>22858368First of all, I'm not saying the stock is overvalued, probably around fair value imo.
Analysts targets are worth literally nothing. Especially for junior miners where all those entities doing the targets are also trying to raise money for the companies and earn commissions.
>>22858389Okay so you see no upside in the stock price at all? Lol
>>22858373Expect Dane to take shots at Lagoon and Snowline often, he's short Lagoon and possibly Snowline too. He's posted some pretty well disguised FUD in the past
>>22858422Maybe it gets bought out in the near term and you make quick 50-75%, that would be a good scenario. If noone buys then you have to wait 5+ years where the stock goes up maybe 10% per year and then 40% when you get the permit or if unlucky 75%+ drop if no permit. And then perhaps another quick gain if taken out at that point.
In the mean time of course stock may go up if new discovery or fall a bit if dilution and no discovery. I think investors are likely to make money from here, but not an exciting opportunity.
>>22858436lol, I don't even short. I also fudded Salt at $2/share.

I'm not even invested in Talisker, just mentioned it once on here. Could be a homerun stock for sure if it works out well, but there's also big risk. >>22859277It could. There is no shortage of gold production and it doesn't get used up. There's no fndamental reason why it has to go up in price. It's a vibes trade.
>>22858048Leverage isn't what people look for in tier 1 deposits to begin with since the margins are huge to begin with, the upside is inherent in developing the asset (improving NAV multiple) and finding satellites and stepouts to feed into the mill. I agree the Rogue deposit itself is pretty much delineated. I also agree the CAPEX number is likely understated as is often the with PEA level studies.
You're likely underestimating the average cash flow on the years 6-20 I think: even if the AISC went up all the way to $1,500/oz, at $3,000/oz Au the AISC margin would be $400M at 270kozpa rate of production. They could probably keep the AISC after the first five years below that.
>What does an acquirer want to pay for this? $2BThat would be a reasonable price if a takeover was announced today I think. The closer the company develops the asset towards commissioning, the higher the premium though. Look at Artemis, the shares there have just trended up since beginning of construction and now at commissioning it's basically around 1x NAV. I expect Snowline to be taken out before they get even close to that kind of NAV multiple and there's going to be years ahead before they can begin construction so for now $2B seems about right to me too. Five years from now if the shares are still trading that number could be closer to $3B at current gold prices, assuming they were to begin construction around that time.
>>22859382>You're likely underestimating the average cash flow on the years 6-20 I think: even if the AISC went up all the way to $1,500/oz, at $3,000/oz Au the AISC margin would be $400M at 270kozpa rate of production. They could probably keep the AISC after the first five years below that.People always forget taxes in these calculations, which is a pretty big mistake. Also typically there is a few hundred $/oz cost on top of AISC, but yes lets say it's $1500/oz for those years at $3k gold and tax is about a third that comes to $300M/y.
A $2B buyout right now would be a great offer for shareholders. I think something like $1.5B is more realistic at this point in time. But that would still make for a great return obviously if it happened near term.
>>22859351Do you like dicks?
>>22859394Fair, with taxes, inflation and extra costs the FCF should probably be around the $300M mark at $3k gold. Math checks out. It's obviously the first five or six years that have the best return profile but the rest of the LOM is nothing to sniff at either. The biggest hurdle for this asset is just that it will take a long time until it gets built.
