I find I get stuck in the learning curve. Each language has their own problems. Been learning Chinese lately, and it’s just a matter of learning vocabulary at this point, but it’s so tedious to translate every damn character I don’t know when reading a book for practice.
Spanish is relatively easy given they use the same alphabet and share similar vocabulary. The most difficult grammar you’ll need to learn are verb conjugations, and they get incredibly intuitive after a while. (I say this as a native speaker, so I could just be bias).
My recommendation is just find a piece of media you like in the language. If I wanted to learn Japanese, it’d be dead simple to learn with all the native Japanese material (Shounen manga even tell you how each kanji is pronounced when reading it in the original Japanese). Unfortunately I haven’t found Chinese music I like. Pretty much just been reading online web comics or books.
