what exactly do you do during those "pointless hours"?
try to take it easy on yourself

i do not
i'm sure there's youtube videos and forums which could help, though
>why am i always running into an error 439 on vr linux now?
dunno
i have to set up VR again as well
it probably depends on your setup, when the error started happening, etc.

take the keycaps off & put them in a jar with warm water & a tiny bit of soap, leave them there for 24 hours, rinse them, let them dry on a towel.
as for the rest of the keyboard, idk. you could use cuetips and distilled water if you have to.

I dunno about the sewing machine or Linux but I'm clumsy so I take precautions with liquids and foods. I always mentally play out where something will spill if I knock it over, and place it somewhere that causes the least damage shown that occur.

I also remove stuff from my hands, elbows, feet's, legs (especially knees), and heads movement lanes.

Like if I have a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk, I will place the glass of milk well away from my hands, usually about 8 inches in front of and 8 inches to the side of the bowl.

I also take steps to mitigate damage, like putting my phone or keyboard on an elevated position so a spill won't reach it, or put a towel over it if I have to eat at my keyboard.

You eventually learn to work around your deficits.

As for sewing, I can't get a sewing machine to work so I hand sew everything, or use safety pins, zip ties, or 550 paracord for temporary field fixes before I can hand sew it later.

And there are forums where you can ask Linux questions.

The real issue may be that your heart lacks fitness, so you overreact to stress. I recommend you do whatever form of cardio you can to fix this, even if just walking or buying an under desk peddaler. Buy 2nd hand from Craigslist. Assault or echo bikes are great, rowers too.

Forgot to say, literally ask in the sewing general on /diy/ or look up YouTube videos for that make and model.

What do you sew? Are you a traveling hobo?

I used to hitchhike because I was a NEET, but now I'm too old and best up to do it.

Mostly I would fix stuff on my pack or customize it. By the end it was something completely different from when it started. I also:
> added extra belt loops or replaced them,
> added elastic bands to pants,
> added darts to pants,
> cut pockets off cargo pants/shorts to sew onto pants around the waist, jackets, or my pack
> added various bits like cuffs or collars from other clothes to my jacket
> cut shit off shoes and added shit to shoes to reduce chafing
> sewed something like the foot and lower calf part of an open toed and heel legging to reduce chafing on my Achilles tendon
> added zippers, buttons, and snaps to pockets on my pants, jacket, or pack

Shirts, socks, and underwear are essentially disposable when hitchhiking orr living outside. They get permanently stained with skin oil, sweat, and dirt, and then they fall apart. They exist only to keep your pants and jacket from getting stained, which are essential to keep clean.

Also as long as you keep your upper body and butt dry, keep moving, and have food you can let the rest get wet. A pair of hiking sandals, customized shorts, customized jacket, poncho, customized pack, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and underwear/shirts is all you need.

Bear in mind I'm a guy, I could easily carry all that. Women can't.

Besides getting old, what made me quit is the explosion of feral addicts and being unable to bring my light pack inside chow halls. Fucking junkies robbed me blind and the homeless shelter workers treated me like I'm the asshole.

You could also search YouTube for just "Dressmaker 2000” to see what you find.

I have searched solutions to the first two problems but to no avail. The first is because the part came off entirely so there's not really a video that can show you how to put the piece back together. I've been trying though. The second I still don't know, but I'm glad people are offering advice and I feel better today

Can you email the manufacturer? Do they have a help chat?

You probably have to hand sew for now.
