The protagonist of this manga was 100% right

I have heard the protagonist is a dweeb like most mangas since only dweebs read them. I also guarantee it could be 100% improved by adding some yuri into it.

i'd say 90% right

mf was retarded with the whole "becoming the new god of this world" shtick. In fact his arrogance is what cost him the loss in the end

Light was a power tripping retard who made the mistake of giving mikami who is also a power tripping retard the death note which fucked him in the end

light was really smart he was just arrogant naturally, the power only exacerbated it, dude could have slept on the notebook until graduating and moved to to rural forest to kill people via radio or whatever idk, he thought he could steam roll everything immediately and he was kinda right, but he was impatient and none of the events of the story even had to happen if he played it safe

the super dramatic "web of lies" shit makes for good entertainment, but it doesn't work in real life
it takes exponentially more effort to stack alibis on top of one another over a period of weeks, and it's really not practical irl, especially if you're retarded
this is why alot of people who idolize light are like on the verge of homelesness
being arrogant and manipulative irl just makes you extremely unlikeable to family/roommates/employers

to be clear, by this i mean lying to people who you encounter frequently in your life
you can lie to people a few times if you weren't going to see them ever again anyway

i think this is a symptom of a person trying to write a character that's more intelligent than themself, instead of putting in the work to figure out how the smart characters would act we end up with a bunch of cheap tricks of verbal minutiae to convince us that they're smart.

yeah
it basically amounts to internally consistent magic battles, which is fine
i guess the problem is when people get sugar plum fairies in their head & think it's realistic

>instead of putting in the work to figure out how the smart characters would act
i wonder if it's possible to write a show like this
seems like a lot of effort, but maybe it would be cool

i think there's parts that feel realistic, like the false bottom in the desk, or when he freaks out in his head but plays it cool verbally. mainly though yeah, it's very much played up for entertainment and drama rather than sense.

i think things have been made like this, i feel like i've experienced media like this but there'll always be people that poke holes in anything, so i'm not really sure... i feel like LA Noire is pretty realistic to how people would act and think in a common intelligence way, but i didn't play *that* much so don't hold me to it.
