New Spanish Mountain PEA edition
0.46 g/t milling resource, this new higher gold price is seeing some crazy cut off grades. Strip only 2:1 though. They use US$6.66/t processing cost, which is gravity + floatation and leach of con. Cheap BC power but is that really anywhere near realistic? is floatation that much cheaper than standard CIL?

>>22895999scratch that the Likely road, from Williams lake into Likely proper is paved entirely. Once on the Keithley Creek Rd and the off branch too Spanish mt its forest service road bed, not bad.
I seriously thought the passage of trumps giga spending bill would have caused a price in the gold price but it did literally nothing wtf.
Was it priced in?
>>22895987 (OP)I would double that processing cost without a second thought.
>>22897611>>22895987 (OP)On second thought Solidus reported a Feasibility Study on a Nevada heap leach project earlier this year and it seems to have tiny processing costs
>Process costs: $2.65/ton ROM ore; $3.23/ton crushed ore; refining costs: $0.75/oz;
>>22897344I think everyone assumed it would pass. Gold has enjoyed the Trump premium since inauguration.
>>22896581How fast do you drive on a road like that in BC? is it like a highway?
>>22897626The OP PEA is floatation, which should be noted. Big copper mines do achieve that cost and I think sometimes even lower. But that's also just doing a floatation con that is shipped out. This PEA includes a gravity circuit and leach of con and it's not huge at 9.5Mtpa. Could be they achiece sub $10/t. Pretty important parameter with such low grade mill feed. The 90% recovery also seems very optimistic. Usually it's lower with floatation and with such low grade as well. Definitely a marginal deposit.
>>22897695depends on the weather but 90km is doable on that road for the most part. Heavy trucks can run on that road pretty well continuously.

>>22903670We can all learn a thing or two from you Finn Anon. Very nice gains. I am too conservative to fully invest in the mining sector, thus I average around 28% per year. But I am investing more and more of my passive income into miners.

>>22903670are you repping a few million here, or poor money?
>>22903670>>22904018what do you guys think is a good minimum amount of money for daytrading shit to be worth doing?
it seems like you need atleast $100,000 for it not to be a waste of time, but preferably more
i know you can make significant amounts of money starting with way less, but most of that seems like pure gambling
>>22904030>good minimum amount of money for daytrading shit to be worth doing?I do not day trade (buy sell in one day)
About 65% of portfolio is cash (ETF at 4%), there are a few notes/bills in there to take advantage of higher rates when they pop up.
Rest is stocks - and most of that (~ 50%) is large steady growth stocks. I dropped all mining garbage due to its poor performance, and have some oil and gas production and midstream - 'steady prices' (they average out) and steady dividends (they change but again average out over the years).
I hold high risk/volatile stocks like PLTR, ASTS, CRWV, RKLB, JOBY and some others which are really moving upwards, yes they are volatile. If one spikes too much I sell and add that cash to my safe cash pile. Think of a mountain climber, he climbs up, drives spike, ties off, climbs up more and repeat. The volatile stocks drop suddenly so never think you missed out. I also sell options on a few stocks for more income, which I then use to buy more of the high risk stocks. I suggest to anyone, no matter how much you like mining (or whatever) when a sector is hot make money in that sector, and realize the gains to put away, then repeat.
>>22904030>good minimum amount of money for daytrading shit to be worth doing?I forgot to address that directly. Any amount is good to start, you need the experience with the sector and stock to get a feel when to buy in some and dump some when it rips a lot to lock in gains. I bought 100 shares of QBTS at about $4.5, sold some covered calls made about $5. I was learning how to do it. I did not want to risk much as I learned. I bought another 200 shares and sold more covered calls. I bought a total 1,000 shares (10 contracts worth to sell more covered calls (still learning and practicing) at an average price of about $5, then for some reason the stock doubled to about $11, so I just dumped it and took the 5k. I started small, learned to sell puts, calls, got assigned, lost the stock (I dont care its just stock) but learned the process. If there was more money in options I did that ( only consisted about 2-3% of my portfolio because of the increased risk), but when dumping the stock I acquired made more money I just dumped it (not my core positions, just the gambling ones). So now with more money and more experience I am slinging more options and made about $5k last month, while the value of the stocks (100 per contract) is about $40,000. So I started small and I am using the money I make to take buy volatile stocks, but I always defend my core safe position. So how much? Start small like a few hundred dollars and slowly build up the amount and experience. I used to struggle to buy a $5k worth of stock, now its eh I throw $20k at something (I am not guessing, I am very carefully evaluating the risk and reward). But I always defend my core position, I set my limits. I am not suggesting you sell options, its just an example how I moved slowly and over time began to make more money. I bought and old QBTS several times and was out at 11, now its like $16, so I just held the 1k shares I would have made more money, but I had no idea if the stock would go up or down
>>22904014https://files.catbox.moe/2azpxj.mp4
>>22904256kek - how long you work on that?
>>22901282possibly but i ll have to look further into how they plan out their pit. There was an earlier attempt to mine in that same area back in the 90s i think, small open pit if memory serves. It didnt go well due to how narrow the paying veins were, they kept getting dilution issues, no good grades made it to the mill. I think that was the Dog Gold Prospect i ll double check.

>>22904546>65% cash in this economy is crazyI hear you . But, I need some stable base to offset my volatile stocks. Although the volatile stocks represent a small portion of my holdings, they are generating a lot of money (for me) and my overall portfolio is growing nicely. some times it stalls a bit, then accelerates again. The stocks I mentioned are doing 2,3,4-10x. And the combination of oil stocks is averaging about ~ 10% dividends when the dividends are cut for their re-investments. According to the brokerage web app my risk level is very high, even with the cash, and not including the options, so I want a large landing spot of safe cash.

>>22904563>Over $100k now,Good job. A stock you might consider is ASTS (AST Spacemobile). Stock is moving up but still volatile and there will be pullbacks. They are manufacturing and launching satellites that will connect directly to current cell phones for calls and video calls where there is no cell service. Its blows Starlink sat to cell service out of the water. ASTS is NOT competing with cell carriers like Voda, ATT, Verizon but partnering with them and signing deals already so their existing customers can get coverage anywhere. ASTS needs to launch a lot more satellites this year and next and if a rocket blows up there will be a major set back. They are also getting US government DOD contracts. I know its not a mining stock. From what I can see all the major cell carriers will want to sign up with ASTS and not be left out of the service.

Oh, noes, Rana broes!
aRe YoU oK?
It's only the second day of the first scheduled redemption and we're already down >10% since Friday. This is making Rana look bad just as he's about to open the most wonderful mine in BC. How could Rana's friends do this to him?
>>22896070On Tuesday, the second tranche will be released, the first Crescat tranche. Based on prior performance, Crescat will likely attempt to cover its costs from both tranches, a total of CAD$1.1M. At current prices, this work out to about 1.6M shares. We know that once Crescat starts selling, the SP will drop and perhaps 2M shares will need to be sold to cover costs. The up to 18% drop after the Phoenix release will seem like nothing once Manlet and friends get in on the action.
CU next Tuesday.
Rana broes, why no presser on the Grand Opening? Did the conveyor break when the jeet threw the switch?

>>22919911you don't think Rana has a plan?
>>22919962kek, when do you take profits? There probably will be a lot of buying if it dips below .45US
>>22920200>when do you take profits?Around CAD$0.41 would be nice. That would leave me with a post-tax USD profit of $20k. We'll see how it plays out next week when Manlet's crew gets busy. I am tempted to hold longer term though, since I don't believe Rana's mine will be profitable.
>>22920219>Around CAD$0.41 would be niceBro that's like .30US, I will be amazed and crown you undisputed cmmg champion if it gets that low. I think you might see .39 or .40US with a little luck

Has Ivanhoe mines bottomed out yet I've been looking at them for some time
Kinda hilarious how in last 4 years to today holding the big exchanges listed gold and silver stock (many stocks, not the best perormers only) and regularly buying each month some gave results of more or less plus as many percents as holding physical gold and silver. It means that they like only tracked the performance of physical itself. Makes me wonder about the real amount of room to run.
perpetua flying today. I'd already sold my trading position lol.
>>22920392idk but I am a buyer.
>>22920684I'm still holding an overweight position. Looking to add on a proper dip if the market graces me with one.

Snowline bro what the fuck
I thought line go up? Not triple top rejected.
why do you care about the digital token
>>22922034I believe you have to add these dips and then sell a few back to Mr Market next time it runs. Have been adding and now at my all time high with 33,345 shares and will probably sell back 345 next time it pops to $6.30US. Eventually, it goes on a Great Bear style run leading to the buyout. It is a little frustrating the PEA sp gain mostly got taken back. We might even see the same thing soon with great drill results where we jump 10%+ then see the fuckery return to grind it back
it angers me greatly when i see NAK is a 6x the past year
>>22922329Because I think it's taking the spotlight off gold and silver
>>22922452Okay I guess I will wait, since its going to happen in 2 weeks from now.
>>22918828no idea, i ve been busy all week but let me have a snoop around online. Might be down to Blue Lagoon announcing their opening Dome Mountain today?
>>2292312099% of the people who buy crypto don't give a fuck about gold. Most of them also don't give a fuck about stocks. Why do you care about their digital tulips?
The annoying part about getting a double in short order is that I always feel like I missed the chance to buy a bigger position
>>22923130If crypto didn't exist, many people would be trying to find a speculative money sink to escape the us dollar. I think that PMs and miners would have done that.
I think that's the reason miners are beaten down so much from their ATH even though gold has gone up so much.
>>22923133Very happy with my smaller Hot Chili position though. I feel like I have just enough shares, any more would be overkill. Managed to time the bottom with these two stocks pretty well
>>22923136You are just impatient. The miners will pump over time and they will likely reach way overvalued territory. Things take time and that's what speculators always forget. These cryptobros would never have invested in commodities or anything related to them anyways, the ones that buy stocks will end up bidding the top once it becomes trendy. Miners and gold are niche and contrarian especially in this part of the cycle. Instead of hating on them, thank them for giving you the opportunity to buy low and sell high.
Speaking of, I boughted more Northern Star.

Anybody else thinking of buying Zijin? I already have a position but I would love to top up before the spinoff. Absolutely phenomenal company with major growth in all areas through 2028. Zijin + Ivanhoe = the best gold & copper majors on the planet imo

>>22925759I am. Got paid pretty well for my Lumina Gold shares. It was a piss cheap takeover but profit is profit. Still long Lundin Gold and Solgold. Would like to buy CMOC shares if I can get a good dip there, they're the ones who bought out Lumina. Smart chinks, also great copper producer, world's biggest molybdenum producer and a major producer of phosphate and niobium.
Royal Gold is on sale now that they are acquiring Sandstorm Gold. If the deal goes through it would be a massive boon for Royal Gold, Sandstorm has been trading at a lower premium to NAV compared to its peers. I am already long Sandstorm prior to this takeover announcement, now I am also long Royal Gold thanks to the market's flash sale.

A Chinese family moved to our apartment a half a year ago by the way. Man, woman, two kids. They moved here because the man wanted to get a nurse's papers, woman is a doctor by trade. Really nice people as far as first impressions go. The man can already have a conversation in Finnish, although he needs the help of Google Translate whenever new words come up. We even exchanged contact info. I'm reminded of hearing that Chinese nationals are instructed by their government to have discussions with locals abroad and report what they learn to their government. I believe it. I don't really have any sensitive information to share though lol. Very nice family in any case, they'll move back to China once they are done with their education.

The cool thing is that chartists are kind of right about some things, but it's mostly just human psychology in the end I think. The more simple your TA autism, the more reliable. The more up your ass you go with TA the more wrong you tend to be is my experience. That's why I only use simple indicators like RSI and a few moving averages.
