just be inquisitive and act interested while they talk about whatever worthless dogshit they have on their mind for a bit and if they arent a complete narcissistic psychopath they will eventually tire of it and start broadening the topic to involve more general topics that most normie retards could participate in then go with that or if you are drunk and autistic enough go completely of the rails with some esoteric as fuck topic and get them curious about something theyve never heard about before, this can either work or backfire, but if the latter happens you simply say have a lovely night and move on to another set of strangers
