As far as jobs are concerned, you might not like it. Say for example you are an office worker they might expect you to work from 9am to 9pm six days a week which is quite bothersome. The parents may expect you to support them financially or may not. China does not have universal healthcare, its corporate. Building, health and safety standards tend to be lacking. BMW and Mercedes are not going to be as affordable or any European car.

However, you're 24 and China, speaking from reality, wouldn't provide you ample means to have a comfy family life, UNLESS you're or your wife's family is reasonably wealthy already!

I suggest you try out the waters in China, in terms of employment market, quality living, and future economic prospects there. BUT you shouldn't jump ship to China, unless you're sure that you can come back to Germany anytime to land a very good job.

Maybe you can try out a compromise with her for living arrangements.

Probably join a German company with operations in China (3PL logistics such as Kuehne+Nagel, machinery/ robotics/ automotive, chemicals and such) and relocate there for a while. You can rise through the ranks quite well, if you're circumspect enough.

Work is the least of your problems. You will very likely return to Germany in 10 years with nothing to your name and a family that you will never see again. Obviously the government/courts will side with your wife in anything property or custody related. You can never get Chinese citizenship, no matter how much you try to be a good Chink drone. First of all, there is absolutely no way at all you can gain permanent residency or citizenship in China. It is not possible. Additionally it is very unlikely they will let you work there (legally).
If you do move to China, once every 3 months you will have to leave, then apply for another visa and re-enter.
Be very aware that you are not going to be welcome in China by the government, at all.

Secondly, make sure you trust this girl, because you will own absolutely nothing in China. As a foreigner you will have no rights to anything. You wont be able to buy or own a home, a car and you'll be lucky if they even let you have a bank account. If you have a kid, you will have no rights at all in relation to the kid.
You will be living at this girls mercy. If you break up you will lose absolutely everything and could very well end up going back home with nothing at all to show for it.

Third, you need to realize China is still largely a complete shithole. You will have almost no freedom in China, expect to be followed by the police all the time, you can be imprisoned for saying the wrong thing or angering the wrong person. Hell you could become a target if one day Germany does something to anger China, they are not above taking political prisoners.
Even ignoring this, most of China has a low standard of living, it has no quality controls of any kind especially with food so expect to get sick a lot, it's heavily polluted, full of crime and is one of the least safe countries in the world to drive in. Whatever your standard of living is now, it's going to be a hell of a lot better than anything you will get in China.

If you are serious about this girl, you'd be better off getting her to live with you in Germany than living with her in China.
