either do what he said & find something to do, or fix the loneliness
but please for the love of god do atleast one of those two

alot of people end up in their forties or fifties still feeling that loneliness, and also have no choice but to work some dead-end job

I'm am doing something. I am in school for engineering I like it but it feels pointless the future is uncertain and I'm just tired. I'll be 26-27 when I graduate I feel like I'm too slow.

egocentrism is retarded.
OP could get into a relationship and then feel absolutely nothing because the problem is fulfillment and fomo not coping and giving yourself a false sense of fulfillment by getting into a relationship or having kids.

ah damn
i dropped out of highschool, i'm 21 now
i wanted to be an engineer at one point

but yeah, try to grit your teeth and graduate, you've come this far
in the meantime, do whatever you have to do to cope with the loneliness & keep working
coping isn't good in the long run, but when you have some genuinely important shit to do, it is

just don't burn out, whatever you do

yeah, sometimes it's just fomo and stunted development, and the relationships turn out to be anticlimactic
it's worth finding out though, maybe OP could get something out of it
just don't do anything retarded like commit to children immediately & you can always change your mind later on

fulfillment & having a place in the world & doing things you want to do
i know it's a vague answer but yeah
it seems like you don't know what you want & it's making you anxious
just try things honestly, don't overthink it too much
join a fencing class or something

do less, achieve less, be a loser unironically.
Every small achievement wipes away the feeling of something taking ages.
Recently ranked in martial arts, it felt like i was never gonna rank now it feels like i ranked too quickly even though the instructor said i was long overdue.
The people on this website that talk about shit from 10 years ago as if it happened last week talk about it like that for a reason. They literally do absolutely nothing worth while with their time and then wonder why they're so depressed

That will make the time go by even faster, are you not familiar with the phrase time flies when you're having fun? Focusing on a task results in the same effect.

the biggest question to ask yourself: Is doing absolutely nothing worth it? or would you rather have a nice roof over your head and be able to purchase things and enjoy your favorite activities even if it's just for a few hours on the weekend?
sadly those are the only two options because that's just how the world works

That's subjective, but practically speaking yes. You've gotta work to live. There are exceptions to the rule though. Plenty of assholes sitting on millions of dollars that they made who didn't really do anything to earn it so to speak. It's a symptom of a society where perceived value has long surpassed actual and practical value.

if you're doing that stuff on time even if it's by the skin of your teeth than you arent lazy
the definition of a lazy person that we have only exists because a bunch of people are in agreeence that normal human responses to things must mean you dont care. Everyone procrastinates or has in the past. It's a normal human reponse to stress. Laziness would be straight up not doing it and then saying you didnt care later.
Our country was designed to be like an automated business so even if you're tired you're expected to preform as if you're a perfect person and not make mistakes
