I tried linux for a home server meant to do one very specific fucking task and... literally not supported by debian they excluded the one thing i needed due to copyright or some other bullshit

my windows servers dont have monitors connected to them and i can use hoptodesk to remote desktop into them just fine and i didnt have to change anything

i tried linux mint mate (xfce) and when you unplug a physical monitor it shits itself and you cant remote desktop. its the least "plug and play" thing ever and windows ltsc versions basically solve all windows problems

that exposes the javascript though, im pretty sure it would have to be obfuscated on the back end, either once and then moved to the 'Public' webpages or obfuscated on the fly with php and the php serves everyone a unique version so you cannot see the original html and javascript

Okay so bear with me here, debian VLC does not have RTSP viewing support. Sure, i can install VLC with flask and view RTSP streams, but flask runs things in isolated environments so if for some ungodly reason (which has happened to me) OBS can not read a RTSP source stream I HAVE to use VLC as the media source which OBS cannot do if its the normal VLC package or installed via flask

I tried and at this point i basically said 'fuck it' and went with windows ltsc for this very specific task
