alot of people get fucked over & end up burnt out or anhedonic for reasons they can't explain
i think you're supposed to have some sort of secure place in the world and social place by the time you're like mid to late teens, but that almost never happens anymore, because of "how things are"
it makes sense you wouldnt care about anything
