gm time for coffee
today i will buy another drive for my computer today and potentially replace the giant 120mm cube of aluminum on the cpu with water cooling

neither have i, but it is drastically more efficient at removing heat than air and also i hate the gigantic cpu heatsink currently taking up all of the space in the case

you ever redo the thermal paste & pads on a modern graphics card?
it's fucked up

did that in I guess maybe 2018 or something, not super modern, no..

makes sense
if it COMPLETELY replaces the need for airflow, i guess that would help avoid noise and dust problems as well

well it still requires a small radiator with fans attached, but that screws to the front of the case where the cooling fans are and it is out of the way, rather than a 120mmx120mmx150mm cube of aluminum with a fan strapped to it hanging off the center of the motherboard
also much quieter

all is going well so far
took 2 shots of liquor to keep my hands from shaking
old heatsink is out, new bracket is installed, radiator is mounted
i just need to mount the pump, trace the pwm wires back and hope the fans spin the way i want them to
