Due to constantly having to deal with others emotional immaturity, selfishness and legitimate insanity due to media brainwashing I am dangerously close to no longer giving a fuck about anybody anymore.

you mustn't let them kill your empathy
it's in their nature to be bloodsuckers, or p-zombie cattle; they can't help it, and you can't help them
take you giving too much to them as a personal failing, and a lesson in self-preservation—be more discerning in future, protect your better humanity for when a worthwhile causes do cross your path
the fact you actually care when nobody else around you does to is a precious jewel you hold within you; hide it from the thieves, shield it from the vandals; grow a thicker skin, and hold them—the unthinking, the uncritical, the unfeeling—at arm's length
never let them close enough to damage you with their damage
protect the light from those who would extinguish it

If I see somebody who truly needs help maybe I will still do something. But being peoples emotional sponge as they continue to produce self inflected pain while learning nothing from it I can no longer tolerate. Others putting me though emotional abuse cycles as they tell me to just shut up and get over things or how its wrong to think like that as they complain about lesser issues in their life or issues they continuously caused themselves has finally broke me.

good
build walls, enforce boundaries, keep them out
but always to protect what's inside
it's necessary; it's moral
they will take until there's nothing left if you let them, and if you let them, it's your fault—unless you take control, they will

it's better to just walk away from those people, rather than put up boundaries or try to tolerate their shit
the way to enforce most boundaries is to keep violators away, not to make the boundary stronger and stronger
the latter will just sap your energy and make yoou misanthropic

That was one of the first things that I learned. At best people disregard it, at worst they get angry even if your advice is proven correct. It's better to try and keep the peace.

I wish I had someplace to walk away to. Even a year away will be refreshing and maybe I can finally think again.
