Would you say you have high standards for yourself? I sort of had pretty high standards for myself as well, I didn't care about regular success as much, but I wanted to afford enough to be relatively comfortable and independent, but I cared mode about artistic and creative success. And I wasn't able to achieve this simple feat, people would always just tell me/remind me that I was really young and that I didn't need to worry about such things. But I feel like, on some level it doesn't really matter to the point where maybe you shouldn't worry/best yourself up about it, because it's not productive at all and doesn't get you anywhere, but an another level not caring about your financial stability, having a decent job can have repercussions, so I wish I just had someone who could have helped me because more successful early on, because not succeeding at all sort of lead me to being socially isolated as a result among other factors.

Talking to the average person and they have no idea how to succeed or be successful or they guard it with their life, as a means of class elitism, it's hard to be certain though.

I would still suggest to work on your mentality though becuase you'll automatically look for and find fault in everything you do. Unless you're just looking for a place to vent, which seems like it too I guess.

I plan on becoming a comic book artist, and then you can make like 90k annually, which I plan to use to get into real estate investment, that's sort or how I plan to escape the grind. Just wanted to be a musician before that but I was injured in a way where I can't be a musician anymore.

Have you thought about business, or investment and things like that to escape the grind? It helps to pick something you like doing because it won't be be so draining on you and then try to turn it into a career.

But there are a lot of jobs that would help you reach the median income, and there's always raises, which can happen pretty frequently.

But if you want to escape the grind co,pletrly that's a bit more difficult,

Don't do it, it's not worth it and you still have plenty of time ahead. What should you do? get more focused on your interests. If you are good with numbers, writing, theoretical or practical stuff, whatever. Once you know your "specialization", go and do some self-taught study about the area. Of course, I'm not asking you to become an engineer or a lawyer tomorrow, but build a base for your future knowledge and future career
As you can tell, not everything is study. Work. And I know that you said up there that you already had some shitty jobs before, but it's never enough. With work you will feel fulfilled in your day-to-day, specially because, if you're disciplined and planned beforehand, this job will just be temporal
Depending on what you have been working, you could have some spare money. Only if you can, try some sport, or go directly to the gym. This is only if you can, but I sure you that this also will help you to feel better with yourself
The rest is on your hand, OP. I already had 19yo, and what I would do if I had 19yo again it's probably different from what you would do now. It's not a exhaustive list of things to do, it's just a reference. Adapt my recommendations to your current states and opportunities, and you might get something good.
