Why doesn't /pol/ have a motorcycle? Why don't you want to enrage kikes by not paying 4000 a year insurance and gas?

gret if you're single or just need a ride to work, (though winters arent so much fun) but obviously you cant do shit with them in terms of carrying much stuff around or kids etc. you can still find older little cars that will give you 5-6L/100km or whatever that works out to in mpg (maybe 40-50mpg) and you'll be able to stuff them with 100kgs of groceries and other stuff you need, plus carry a wife and couple kids around in one.

For starters you have to have a bike that's road legal where you live. Also you're fucked if you live in the north and get snow so your transportation is unusable for months of the year. Lastly I hear some bikes have massive mechanical issues and break down like 3-4x as often as cars do.

I've dabbled on this idea myself years ago

I have a Mt-09 and haven't ridden it in a while, I would get a smaller cc bike though like a 300 if I was to ride as a beginner.

Motorcycles are for 3 groups of people:
>thirdies who have no other option
>fat old men who wifeswap
>men who like to wear tight leather suits and end up as red paste on the road

Unless you live in upstate New York, you could probably squeeze a good 9-10 months plus or minus a few weeks of use out of a motorcycle if you really wanted to. The only times you can’t use it is when there’s snow and ice on the road. The former is cleared after it snows so it’s just snow days you can’t use it. The latter is a problem mostly Jan-Feb, sometimes December in colder places in the U.S.

I've owned 6 over the years, used to commute on them because of advantageous parking regs and warm climate

Was fun while they was useful to me but as just toys they're pretty annoying. Unless you've got something relatively new and are <25yo, you're going to be spending more time fixing them than riding

I've crashed my bike like 2 times, high siding at 20 mph, and a low side at 35 mph. Fixed the clutch basket, but the clutch handle is still bent.

ive ridden a scooter and an off road style bike in 6inches of snow and its pretty fine really. running on wet salty or actual black ice isnt smart though of course. sometimes a bike does better than a car, but you gotta watch for the cars big time. best to avoid it all if you can really.

its like a horse ain't it, people say they love horses
but then you gotta pick up their shit and monitor them cause they do nothing but shit and try to kill themselves and most people aren't about that they just love the IDEA of horses
but if you actually love horses you love picking up their shit and you love keeping them from killing themselves then you actualy love horses
motorbikes are the same thing people say they love motorbikes but then you gotta care for em and it becomes too much fucking work and in that case never get a horse aye

People always say this but I've never had this problem. I have a dual sport bike so the tires have good traction I've been riding through New England winters for 6 years. It barely even snows as much as it used to so maybe it's hard to ride for 2 days out of the entire year within 2 hours of snow before the roads are cleared otherwise it's fine.

I want one, but all the cool ones I want aren't legal here because of (((emissions))).
(You can have them, but they were never sold here, so there's barely any.)

Too many friends and family scraped off the road too many times plus neurological issues keep me off the road. Looking at getting an enduro for off road fun, though.

if you're younger than like 50, you should be more concerned with making more money than altering your habits to spend less money
maybe

My KTM on the old Oregon Trail in Idaho.

It's legal on everything from the Interstate to single track in national forests. I love the freedom to go anywhere.
