My sister became a single mother. And my parents started berating me to support her. Like non stop, 20 times roughly, had to cut off contact with whole family. The standing mindset is "ok, she shouldn't have, but she did so now we have to help her". All this does is enable this behavior and endlessly perpetuate it. We're enabling bad behavior by going "oh well think of the children" and "oh well she's family". If one innocent kid gets screwed over today to prevent 10 bastard spawn tomorrow, those are numbers I can live with.
Too many people want an answer to single motherhood and fatherless children that has absolutely no downsides to the current wave we have.
