i know people who hopped a bus at age 16 and went to other cities with no support network, now they're doing well for themselves
you could get an apprenticeship & get a job that way, or figure something else out
there's always the military and oilrig work, but you don't have to do that

the US is a pretty good place to start from nothing, atleast compared to alot of countries
there's always another town/city, and you can get very far away from your family without them finding you
the economy is rough but it's still one of the best places to get a job

i found a business park near a water treatment plant with some woods
it's a nice peaceful place to run
the treatment plant stinks & makes noise, but still

but yeah, i can't help but envy these mathematicians who casually talk about travelling to switzerland & shit for their work

i think it's time to leave our towns

try to take small steps, but if you can't manage it because of family bullshit, just keep your cool & remember there's plenty of drastic options (military, bus-hopping, etc) you can resort to
