half inch glass puncture wound on the ball of my foot award
about a 45* angle, a bit on the shallower side (not straight up) thankfully
disgusting floors award
should i try to pull/cut the wound open a bit to clean it better & get a bit more airflow?
i think i'm not going to...

i rinsed it with cold water for about 2 minutes, dried it while waiting for it to stop bleeding, added topical antibiotic to the area, then bandaged it

the floors are so dirty
this is a 130-year-old victorian house, it was bought by a slumlord & used as a traphouse before my family moved in
the hispanic lady hired to "fix" it painted the nice hardwood floors with outdoor housepaint
it sticks to the feet & absorbs smells & there's cracks full of stuff

i've scrubbed the floor with a rag six times but it doesn't help
my BPD mom fills the rest of the house with rugs, which absorb smells further & get tracked around the house

i try to wear socks or house shoes in the rest of the house, otherwise it would bem uch worse

but yeah, i think lotion would end badly
