completely untrue. they became friends after Norm moved to Toronto but they had a falling out before he moved to New York and they never reconciled as friends again. Norm never bothered to reach out despite the fact that he knew he had cancer. Norm made amends with many people but never with Harland. he definitely wasn't fond of him past their initial friendship in the 80s.
