my adblocker works, but you gotta wait 10 seconds before youtube videos start to play
you can always use inv.nadeko.net, or someother invidious instance, or you could download/stream videos with MPV and YT-DLP

Dude, I said it was free. Like, the same free version of Adblock I downloaded like last Christmas. And yeah, I must admit some videos there's some weird waiting period or something? But otherwise I really don't have to worry about corporate slop. I haven't verified it yet, but I think you should avoid signing in to your Google/JewTube account when you want to watch completely ad free. When I'm signed in, that's when I get the fucking retarded warning "Adblockers are not allowed".

Oh, I forgot to mention that's when my adblocker is automatically shut off, the page reloads with the adblocker off and the symbol now green, and ads are playing. But I've been listening to videos ever since last evening (I couldn't sleep) and while there have been those pauses occasionally, I haven't had a single ad play or my adblocker turned off. They'll probably patch this eventually. Same thing with going to YouTube on the Chrome smartphone app and then watching videos there. They'll figure out how to get ads there too.

Dude, most of my ads on my phone's YT app are targeted. Mostly. It doesn't stop the corpo synergy bullshit from cascading through the thin veneer of "This is an ad we actually pulled out for you". Ads used to be a cool way of making money for your funny video of a cat playing a keyboard in a tshirt. Now it's just a corpo grabbag or whatever bullshit.
