though in my defence it was rather windy and all the creepy crawly things wouldn't sit still >>23046557 >>23046571
aperture was too wide so the wing tips aren't in focus

Wow that's a really great photo. I've taken photos for a living that weren't half this good. What kind of camera did you use and what lens? If you took this with digital zoom instead of optical zoom I'll be even more impressed.

his face isn't in focus but you might like the detail on the wing >>23046652
fuji xa3 with the stupid soap bubble lens by ttartisan
i stacked 3 macro extensions to get the zoom

I would say nice model but uh yeah I've never of it until now. You get some pretty good results out of it especially with using optical zoom on a relatively cheap camera.
That camera is so bottom coded. Like mid 2000's emo girl coded alternatively.

i went to one of those butterfly garden places a few years ago and i saw a black and white butterfly with wings that were basically torn to shreds it looked metal af
>>23046753 >but the fuji is cuter
It is yeah. Plus if you don't have a lens on it it's pretty small from the looks of it. Seems like the kind of camera you'd see people carrying in like 2001.

I like seeing the fuzzy hairs all along the wings, makes it seem really soft and nice even though they're probably awful to touch lol
I also like being able to see the whole abdomen and also the silly lil ghost faces on the wings >>23046762
oh wow, I'm glad that it was thriving
I woulda been so sad seeing that, poor lil thing
>>23046796
very fuzzy, I like that you can see the hindwings clearly that's super cool
thank you for the bug images, as an avid bug enjoyer these are great
you have a real talent for this I think

it's a shame it's completely out of focus because i like the colour and the bokeh
this one might have made a nice wallpaper if it was in focus
